ABOUT LOUS’S AT PAWLEYS
Sitting on the mainland, facing a salt marsh called Pawleys Creek, the dining experience is akin to spending an evening in a middle to late 18th century plantation house. The architectural style of the brick and wood siding building actually predates the region’s more familiar antebellum mansions. The sweeping dining room features heavy wooden ceiling beams, ballast brick floor, and a fireplace mantel, all taken from area homes, cotton and railroad warehouses, slave quarters, river barges and even docks built nearly 200 years ago.
